KIDS PROGRAM
The On One Kids program is designed to teach children the fundamentals of dance. Our Mentors are passionate and seasoned veterans in the dance community who have years of experience teaching children. We know what it takes to build a strong foundation in dance and our aim is to facilitate that in our students. A strong foundation will set up children for success both inside and outside of the studio.
Dance’s impact on children’s’ lives goes far beyond the walls of OOS. Dance requires technique and discipline, but also communication, patience, perseverance, and bodily intelligence. Each 8-count and ball change is working toward refining kids as dancers just as much as it is working toward refining them as students and citizens.
One of our core values as a studio is that dance should be a fun and positive, community-building activity where dancers from different backgrounds form bonds through movement and music. Our studio is a safe space for kids to express themselves and grow at their own pace. We value empathy, compassion, and growth, as they allow our students to feel heard, supported, and to enjoy learning as part of an inclusive, fun-loving community.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I know which class is the best fit for my child?
Typically we encourage all new dancers to take a Beginner class for their age group. We curated unique learning paths depending on what age your child begins their dance journey.
If your child has taken dance classes before from a different studio and would like to enroll them in an intermediate class, please contact us and we will recommend the best fit for your child.
Our staff are all happy to help you decide which class to enroll in so feel free to reach out for assistance.
Do you offer trial classes?
Our Trial Period is from September 3rd – September 28 and are drop-in only. Trial Classes cost $33.
After the trial period is over we are no longer accepting trials and drop-ins.
What happens if I have to withdraw during the season?
You may withdraw from the season at any time and will need to pay a $20.00 withdrawal fee. Once withdrawn, you will no longer need to make any further payments as long as you have resolved all past charges. All past payments are nonrefundable.
If you wish to withdraw, please email [email protected] by the 23rd of the previous month to terminate the contract/autopay.
What should i do when my child’s needs to miss a class?
Missed Classes are non-refundable. Make-up classes are offered as a courtesy so steady progress can be maintained. When your child needs to miss class, call or email the studio before your child’s regular class and schedule the makeup class.
How do I stay updated with class announcements, holiday closures, and other important information about my child's dance classes?
Our main form of communication is via direct email. Please ensure the email that we have on file is accurate, so that you can receive important updates
What if my child is outside of the age group for the class?
To ensure that we are providing the best possible experience and education for kids at a certain age group, we typically only accept students if they are within the designated age group of the class.
However, if your child is almost within the age group and their birthday is within the first 4 months of the season we can make the exception. For Example: For the Beginner Hip Hop Ages 5 – 7 classes, we allow students who are 4 years old who have a birthday coming up between the months of September – December of this year.
Is the tuition the same every month, even though some months have 5 weeks and some months have less?
Yes. Our year schedule has exactly 32 sessions and the monthly tuition is spread out monthly for convenience.
