Eddie Mina
Int/Adv KPOP Performance Workshop | Sundays 1:00pm - 2:30pm
About Eddie
Eddie Mina trained with Training Ground for two years and spent five years on Company. He has been teaching all around the Bay for the past four to five years and has performed at DAMSF, VIBE, Prelude, Bridge, Complex, and Good Times. Eddie is the founder and director of the mentorship program EP and co-directed @channel for Complex in 2023.
What can students expect?
We will be focusing on performing. This is a performance workshop that we will be building and blocking. Students should also expect to be very intentional about individuality. Be you, do you!
TINA
Int/Adv Choreo Performance Workshop | Sundays 2:30pm - 4:00pm
About TINA
TINA has been dancing with SNACKPACK DANCE COLLECTIVE since 2023 and directing their K-Pop subunit, bibimpack, since 2024. She has also been teaching community classes and workshops since roughly 2024 with On One and within SNACKPACK's monthly popups. She is also a current member of Off the Grid, a K-Pop exhibition team based in San Jose.
What can students expect?
We will be focusing heavily on performance, and students will learn to perform like a Kpop idol. Students should also expect to learn and apply a bit of body awareness in dancing, especially when learning Kpop choreographies independently. TINA would love for her students to finish this performance workshop with the confidence and swagger of a seasoned idol.
Paulina Huynh Nhu

About Paulina
Paulina Huynh Nhu is a Queer Vietnamese creative, dancer, choreographer, and storyteller. She has been teaching heels and sensual movement since 2020 and currently teaches regular slots at On One Studios and Revel Room Studios in San Jose. Paulina has been a member of several dance teams in the Bay Area and is currently a member of Side Piece, a project team based out of Oakland. From April 2023 to April 2025, she created and directed Collective POV, a movement group curated for the exploration of sensuality through various styles of movement and building community through collaborative growth. Paulina has choreographed for and/or performed at various showcases and competitions across the Bay Area, including DAMSF, Complex Dance Competition, Onyx Dance Competition, On One Studios Open Floor, World of Dance Bay Area, SF Pride, Prelude NorCal Jrs., and more.
What can students expect?
Students will be focusing on learning, blocking, and cleaning a beginner-level heels dance set. Throughout the 10 weeks, we will work on strengthening our heels dance fundamentals and applying that to a sensual, fluid, and sassy set for Open Floor. The main things Paulina wants her students to take away from this experience are to become comfortable and develop their confidence in heels movement and to feel proud of delivering an excellent performance on stage.

About Paulina

What can students expect?
Students will learn to apply their preexisting skill set in choreo and heels dance to a sensual, dynamic, and entertaining intermediate/advanced-level performance at Open Floor. Throughout the process, we will work on refining our dynamics, textures, facials, understanding of the set, and connection to the other participants of the performance workshop in order to feel prepared and confident in bringing the set to life on stage. Expect a rewarding challenge!
Jepoy Papas

About Jepoy
Jepoy Papas has choreographed for different scenes in the Bay and for numerous artists in the Philippines. He is also part of the highly respected team The Company and is one of the Bay Area's dance mentors.
What can students expect?
The things Jepoy wants his students to take away are committing to movements and connecting with the music.
Anthony Daste
Beg Choreo Performance Workshop | Wednesdays 8:00pm - 9:30pm
About Anthony
Anthony Daste is a Northern California native who started off as a freestyle dancer. He has been on teams such as VIP San Jose and the Academy of Villains. Alongside his close friends, he helped co-found Commonality and is currently a co-director. Throughout the years, he has showcased and competed at shows such as VIBE, IDL, Ultimate Brawl, Prelude NorCal, and more.
What can students expect?
Students will learn to grow in both their confidence and execution while dancing. Anthony wants to influence individual growth while helping everyone understand their movement. The main thing he wants his students to do is have fun and enjoy the process!
Marky Dimaano
Adv Choreo Performance Workshop | Wednesdays 8:40pm - 10:10pm
About Marky
Marky Dimaano is a dancer from Sacramento who has lived in San Francisco since 2022. He is an OG member of Black Flag, joining in 2019 and performing with them at Sacramento Kings games, dance exhibitions and competitions, and in music videos. Since moving to SF, he has started teaching regularly at studios all around the Bay and performing at events like Prelude NorCal and World of Dance. He aims to expose as many people as possible to an approach to dance unique to Sacramento and encourage people not to be afraid to dance differently.
What can students expect?
In Marky's performance workshop, students will learn to be groovy and technical at the same time, emphasizing the importance of body control. We will focus on how to make small and subtle moves effective, how to do high-energy moves in a controlled way, and how to combine the two to make a super entertaining and fun set. Students should know that we will be working hard to make something we're proud of while still emphasizing that the process can be fun. Above all, Marky wants to foster a safe space where everyone can feel like they can be themselves and create lasting bonds and memories along the way.

Series timeline
Your path to the Open Floor 2026 stage.
Follow the season from enrollment through performance night. Workshops open at the end of May, begin in early June, and build all summer toward the Open Floor stage.

Enrollment opens and dancers can review the teacher lineup, choose their track, and claim a spot while space is available.
First Week of June
Workshops Begin
Each cast starts weekly rehearsals focused on choreography, staging, performance quality, and group connection.
Sept. 4th
Tech Rehearsal + Final Notes
Earlier in the day, performers walk through spacing, transitions, and stage details so each piece feels ready for the audience.
Sept. 5th
Open Floor Performance
Everything leads to the final performance at the annual Open Floor showcase at Mexican Heritage Plaza.

What is a Performance Workshop?
A Performance Workshop is a special series of workshops where participants are trained and directed by a mentor to put on a dance performance on stage. It will consist of learning choreography, blocking, staging, and refining the performance alongside other peers. This is a chance to experience what it's like to put together a dance performance and perform in front of others on stage.
When and where is the performance?
For this series, the performance will be during our annual Open Floor showcase on September 5, 2026 at the Mexican Heritage Plaza. The performance is in the evening, but a tech rehearsal will be earlier in the day. Stay tuned for more information as the day gets closer.
Can I try it before I commit?
Yes, the first 2 weeks of the performance workshops are drop-in friendly for $35.00 a session. Space is limited, and drop-in enrollment will be based on a first-come, first-served basis.
What if I have to miss a session?
Rehearsals are on the same time and day every week unless specified by the studio or the instructor ahead of time. We encourage students to check for schedule conflicts prior to enrolling. Unfortunately, missed sessions cannot be refunded.
What if I withdraw in the middle of the series?
There will be a $50 withdrawal fee. All past charges will be non-refundable.
What level of dance is recommended to participate in the performance workshop?
Each performance workshop clearly specifies the level of choreography taught in its description. We encourage you to take note and check with our front desk for any questions.
