“I was a trained Polynesian dancer for 5 years before moving on to hip hop in high-school. Throughout all 4 years I danced, performed, and created choreography for my fellow peers. In 2011, I joined chocolate factory, a competitive dance team in San Jose and throughout my 7 years, I received the opportunity to contribute choreography for our competition sets as well as for our junior team, Gobstoppers’ competition sets. During this time, I also worked as a freelance choreographer, creating performances for birthdays, weddings, and other special events.“
Hi Everybody!
OOS: How would you describe your dance style?
Flowy, Groovy, Smooth, very legato, Feel good
OOS: What are your dance goals as a mentor?
I just want to continue to share space with other dancers and help others experience growth through dance
OOS: What will your students learn or experience in your class?
It’s different every day – but ultimately my students will learn tools to help them progress in their dance journey. I like to go over my creative process to make connections between the music and the intention of the moves, which I find helps with performance and execution. They can also expect to have fun while learning it!
