At On One Studios (OOS), we're dedicated to spreading the passion, creativity, and joy that comes with dance. Our mission is to make dance accessible and to build a community of dancers who aim to do the same — beginning at home in San José.
Our workshops and special events bridge local and international talent, and are open to people of all ages and skill levels who are willing to Go to Grow. Whether someone is looking for Choreo, K-Pop, Street Styles, or Specialty Dance Classes, there is a place for them within the walls of our studio.

Make an Impact
As an Administrative Assistant you’ll be contributing to the growth and success of the dance community, working on program development, studio operations and services alongside the studio staff.
We are looking for team members who are willing to grow with us as a studio.. You will gain hands-on experience in the field of Business Administration. Specifically in Management, Leadership, Project Coordination, and Communication. We envision this role to grow into a Program Manager or Assistant Studio Manager.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Front End / Customer Service (25%) – Give fantastic service to new and existing customers
- Manage and follow up with customer phone calls and emails
- Handle all customers questions and transactions
- Ensure studio & front desk remains clean and presentable
*Programs (25%)
- Process Kids & Training Course enrollments
- Manage dance teacher requests (e.g. substitutions, guest passes, etc.)
*Rentals (25%)
- Ensure the room schedule is well maintained and prevent any double bookings.
- Optimize guest experience by providing them access instructions
- Keep track of payments and account receivables
*General Administration (25%)
- Manage studio inventory
- All other administrative duties related to Programs, Operations , Special Projects, Cross-Functional Team Communication
Apps used: MINDBODY, Slack,Google G Suite (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Slides, Sheets), Clickup
What we are looking for:
- At least 1 year experience in Customer Service and in an Administrative Support role
- Resilient, strong problem solver who is resourceful and can find creative solutions to any challenge
- Strong interpersonal skills – delivers results by interacting with people and building new relationships
- Impact driven work – we are looking for someone who is motivated and takes ownership of their role. Who works hard AND works smart.
- Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail and maintaining high standards
- Ideally has access to a car and can commute to the studio at any given day
- Confident writing and communication skills
- Working knowledge of apps used a plus or ideally a candidate who is tech savvy
- Past experience with working in the dance industry is a plus!
- High school graduate
Additional Details
Hours & Compensation:
- Part Time Contract Position // Seasonal Position w/ potential for Long Term
- 20 – 25 hours a week // Must be available 5 out of 6 days of when we are open
- Starting at $22/hour. After 90 days performance will be reviewed for potential increase
Location:
- Most of the work can be done remotely, but we expect you to be onsite a few times a week to oversee operational activity and/or cover the front desk.
Timeline:
- We are looking to start interviews ASAP with training to begin end of April. Potential start day of May 2023.
