2024 PERFORMANCE WORKSHOPS

A 10 week series dedicated to intermediate/advanced level dancers from June to September.

This is your opportunity to be trained and directed by one of our mentors in an intimate setting and perform on stage with your peers.  You will spend 10 weeks preparing a set for the annual Open Floor showcase on September 7, 2024.

  • Increase your understanding of details
  • Build your stage presence
  • Spread joy and your passion for dance with others

Gain confidence in your own skills!

Performing for an audience requires a dancer to step out of their comfort zones and into an environment where all eyes are on them. Once you get out there, you are forced to trust yourself and be confident in your own skin. It can be scary at first, but through this experience, dancers grow into their best selves who believe in themselves.

Connect With Others

Through this experience, dancers will learn that everyone’s role is important and that cooperation is KEY. There’s something so valuable about working as a team and forming a connection while preparing for a production on stage.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Performance Workshop?

A Performance Workshop is a special series of workshops where participants are trained and directed by a mentor to put on a dance performance on stage. It will consist of learning choreography, blocking, staging, and refining the performance alongside other peers. This is a chance to experience what it’s like to put together a dance performance and perform in front of others on stage.

When and Where is the performance?

For this series, the performance will be during our annual Open Floor showcase on September 7th. Location tbd.

What makes this different from a TAG course?

TAG Courses focus on intimate training of your dance technique and skills while a Performance Workshop focuses on allowing students an opportunity to experience putting a performance together and performing.

Can I try it before I commit?

Yes, the first 2 weeks of the performance workshops are drop-in friendly for $45 a session. Space is limited and drop-in/enrollment will be based on a first come first serve basis.

What if I have to miss a session?

Rehearsals are on the same time and day every week unless specified by the studio or the instructor ahead of time. We encourage students to check for schedule conflicts prior to enrolling. Unfortunately, missed sessions cannot be refunded.

What if I withdraw in the middle of the series?

There will be a $20 withdrawal fee. All past charges will be non refundable.

What level of dance is recommended to participate in the performance workshop?

While we encourage everyone to try new experiences, our performance workshop is catered towards an intermediate level dancer.
